This Kiwi Bird NZ Map Silver Fern Iron On Patch takes four iconic symbols of New Zealand, and puts them in one applique patch!
The Kiwi bird is what we name ourselves after. The map is self-explanatory. The Silver Fern is our national sporting symbol. And the Koru is the Maori symbol of peace, tranquility, and positive change.
Iron the patch onto your cap, bag, backpack, jeans or jacket, to show where you are from or where you have been. Instantly recognisable!
It is recommended that you only apply this to firm fabrics. Because of the heat needed to apply it, also limit your fabrics to cotton or linen, natural fibres that can take the heat.
Instructions:
1. Heat iron to cotton setting (190 - 200C), no steam.
2. Iron the area where the patch is to go.
3. Place the patch with design facing up, against the pre-warmed fabric.
4. Cover the patch with a piece of fabric to protect it (muslin is good for this).
5. Iron for 40 seconds on the front, then another 40 seconds on the reverse of the garment.
